Rules and regulations for sending a Florida Mechanics Lien
All parties must file a Mechanic Liens within 90 days of last furnishing labor and/or materials to a project, in Florida. This 90 day period is expired, and the lien is due.
After completing the Florida Mechanics Lien Form, you must deliver it to the appropriate parties required by statute. Notices are typically served on the property owner and, for sub-tier parties, the general contractor. However, depending on the type of notice, it can be helpful to send notices to anyone else who is in charge of your payment, like a lender or surety company on the project.

Year old job
Unless you filed a construction lien and unless it has been less than a year since you did so, you cannot prevent the sale of the property you worked on. You should consult with a lawyer about bringing legal action to collect the debt. If it is $8,000 or less you can pursue the matter in small claims court without a lawyer.
