Louisiana law requires multiple preliminary notices for the same project. This can be confusing for parties who are not used to furnishing labor and/or material in the Pelican State. Failing to send notice can lead to a loss, or at least a diminishing, of lien rights. If you’re working on multiple projects, keeping track of all the deadlines and paperwork can be especially difficult.
In Louisiana, monthly notices must be sent within 75 days of the last day of the month in which the material was delivered. But so you don’t have to do the math every time, we created this free calendar. It shows you exactly what day notices are due each month, taking into account holidays and weekends which may affect the deadline.
