Georgia Public Works Notice to Contractor Form

If a Notice of Commencement has been filed on the project, you must deliver a Notice to the Contractor within 30 days of first furnishing labor or materials to a public work. This must be delivered to preserve your right to file a claim against the contractor's payment bond or security deposit.

While only required if a Notice of Commencement was filed, it is a good practice to always send this notice, as you may not know whether the notice was or was not filed properly. This deadline marks the end of 30 days since you first delivered labor/materials to the project.
