Payment Profiles Frequently Asked Questions

1. Go to Payment Profiles and search for your company. 

2. Select your company to open your payment profile page. Here you will find basic information about your company.

3. Under your logo on the left side, click ‘is this your company?’

4. Fill out your company information. Please fill this out as in-depth and accurately as possible.

5. Click ‘Submit’.

6. Once you submit your profile information, a Levelset team member will review your request within 10 business days. Once approved, you will receive an email with next steps to login and edit your information. Then you will be on your way to helping others know how to work with you — and differentiating yourself as an elite project partner!

Please note: To claim or update your profile, you must make the request with your company email address (for example, @companyname.com). This lets Levelset know that you have the authority to claim and edit your company profile. Levelset does not edit any of the information provided, so please be sure there are no spelling errors or typos.

Profile data is compiled from the Levelset database, public data, and partnerships with third-party construction data companies.

Your payment profile is 100% public. Our goal at Levelset is to empower all construction industry professionals. By providing information on every company, we increase transparency within the industry and help people make great decisions, get their daily work done quickly and as stress-free as possible, and get paid on time for their work.

Levelset collects testimonials from parties who work with, or have worked with the contractor, so they can share about their experience.

The purpose of these testimonials is to help companies understand what to expect about the contractor’s payment process.

All testimonials are posted anonymously to encourage honesty while protecting relationships. Testimonials are approved by Levelset before being posted on any page. Levelset does not edit testimonials for content, but does moderate testimonials for compliance with Levelset’s guidelines for conduct on its sites.

Levelset Payment Profiles provide transparency into contractors’ payment experiences and behaviors to set expectations and to speed up their own payment.

We never edit or alter the text of testimonials published. Testimonials that do not comply with our terms of service are not posted, or are removed after Leveset learns of the noncompliant post.

We believe in anonymity and give contractors the opportunity to speak freely without damaging their business relationships and business opportunities. Information or opinions provided in testimonials are solely those of the party leaving the testimonials, and not those of Levelset. Levelset does not investigate or endorse the information or opinions provided in the testimonials, and merely provides a platform on which testimonial users may post their experiences or opinions. We expect contractors to comply with the testimonials guidelines and to stand behind their testimonials statements.

Submissions are subject to review by the Levelset team for compliance with the following guidelines prior to posting.

Testimonials are to be used to focus on positive work experiences with the company. Only these testimonials will be accepted.

• Testimonials should be original and focused on your personal experiences working with the contractor, and not based on what you have heard from others.
• Testimonials should be about your payment experience with that contractor on a past job or ongoing payment on a current job. This can include time to payment, specific mentions of the process, best practices for getting paid faster, payment problems if they occurred, how to resolve payment problems with them and more.
• If you represent your company and would like to reply to testimonials, please claim your company profile. After being approved, you can post your response publicly.
• It is up to you whether you want to name specific individuals associated with your payment experience. Levelset will not remove testimonials that name individual actors associated with the testimonialser’s payment experience, as this information may be generally representative of a company’s payment process and can be helpful for other contractors. However, as a testimonialser, it is your responsibility to understand that the laws with respect to statements about individuals may be different than those with respect to companies, that you are solely responsible for such statements. In most cases, it is likely best to only identify an individual party by title or company role.
• Testimonials based on a negative experience will not be published. The purpose of testimonials is to share positive experiences with the contractor.
• Testimonials should follow grammatical best practices as Levelset does not make any edits before publishing testimonials. While the writing and grammar of a testimonial does not need to be perfect, unintelligible testimonials may not be published or may be removed.
• All testimonials are anonymous but for the betterment of the community, any submitted testimonials without a verifiable email address or without an email address at all, will automatically be rejected by Levelset. All testimonials left without a company email address will be further authenticated before approval by Levelset.
• Testimonials that are not related to the experience of working with the contractor will not be published. This includes but is not limited to testimonials about Levelset, testimonials about your own company, and testimonials that do not provide any information about the selected contractor.
• Creating new accounts to leave numerous testimonials about one company is against the rules and all testimonials in question will be removed.
• No current or previous employee testimonials are allowed.
• To protect your privacy, we do not allow you to identify yourself, your company, or any contact information (about yourself or your company) in your testimonial
