Hello, we are a company with office in Plano, TX, we have supplied goods to our client to the state of Kansas, and we have currently invoices outstanding starting from April month. How to proceed to claim correctly for our money?
With same constructor we have few invoices also supplied to a job site in Texas.
We have written emails, send notice by mail regarding the delay of payments.
KansasI am in a partnership that is rapidly coming to an end. My soon to be ex partner is refusing reimburse me for expenses related to the finished projects. He has already collected the money and deposited it elsewhere. I would like to file liens against the properties that he has completed and not paid me for. What type of lien would this be, should I file as a supplier, or an employee who has not been paid? Should I file on each property for the full amount owed for all of the projects? Each individual project would be about $8,000. I am owed $30,000.
KansasI live in a very small town in Kansas. I secured a roofer to put a new metal roof on my home. I purchased the materials based on his calculations (way over what was needed - 30%). All communications are via text (which I have all of the interactions). He started on 9.28.2019 and stated that he expects to finish in about 3 days. He started on Saturday 9.28.2019, and worked 1/2 the weekend (rain). Stated he would be back next weekend. The weekends stretched into months. Some weekends he was there working, other times he didn't communicate at all. At the end of November, he said he was done. I sent a text (and spoke verbally) that there were issues, screws not in the roof (so nothing holding the materials to the underroof), and 8 other issues. He said he would be back to fix them. It is now the middle of February, 2020 and I have not heard from him since the end of November. He has not been paid any money, and I purchased the materials. I will need to hire another roofer to finish and fix what is wrong. What is my obligation to the original roofer?

KansasI had filed an extension on one of my projects close to a month ago. We are needing to repair a door frame at this location before the owner will pay. I'd like to maintain lien rights but since we still have work to do, I'd like to file another extension rather than filing a lien. Can I do that since I have already filed an extension?

Added a 1/2 bathroom in place of a closet.
Added 3 small transoms in 2 bedrooms
Added shower instead of tub in hallway bathroom
Here are some issues:
There’s a step leading out to backyard from back door of garage.
Plan called for all drawer stacks in kitchen lower cabinets—builder unable to do since cabinets he ordered and installed came in 39 inches and drawers only come in 36 inches which leaves 1 ½ inch spacers on both sides…not cosmetically appealing.
Plan called for 8ft arched garage doors. He installed 7ft straight doors. After some haggling he changed doors to 8 ft but still no arch.
Plan called for 15 ft vaulted ceiling in entry way. He installed 10 ft ceiling. After blaming sub-contractor and more haggling he changed it.
Plan called for upgraded granite counter tops. He installed builder grade.
Plan called for stone over garage. He said plan is generic and just a guide.
