I need assistance filling out the SBA Economic Injury Disaster Relief application. I started an LLC in July 2019. I purchased a land and am currently waiting on construction permit. So far my expenses are 100,000 to purchase the land. 20,000 for architect and permit fee. Payment on loan interest 10,000. So my Gross Revenue is 0.00 since i do not generate any revenue. what do I include in the Cost of Goods Sold for the SBA application?...Read More

My partner and I are going through a home renovation and are happy with the progress being made. In our contract, there is an allowance for windows priced at $22,000. The language is not clear if this allowance includes labor and installation. After receiving the invoice, the actual cost of the windows was $11,300. Obviously we want to be credited the difference. This property management company called Atlas Lane in dc got behind on $20,000 in bills. They took around 90 days to pay most of it, but still have not completed payment in full. What can I do? They said that basically go ahead and pursue legal action because it doesn't affect them, just the owners. A mechanic's lien was placed on my property stating that I am still owing the final payment. Since then, I found out that the two related contractor's that I hired, did not have the proper licenses to perform the work and that the license was strictly renewed (considering the date of the mechanics lien and date of renewal) just for that purpose. The contractor filed the lien knowingly that the work was performed during his unlicensed period. This is in the District of Columbia. Was this a fraudulent or frivolous filing?...Read More
