I was hired by a Colorado GC to install as specified in the plans provided by the architect (this included which specific products to install). There is an issue with the manufacture of the products themselves, but they were installed properly. I am being told that I have punch list items to complete because the products are not working correctly. The products are defective, but install was correct. The GC should have already received 3 draws on this project, but is saying they have not received any payment. There is a pay when paid clause in the contract. The project is in CO.
Due to the corona virus, the site (it is a visual arts center owned by a university) is shut down so I couldn't do the punch list even if I wanted to.

Hi there is a subcontractor that doesn't have a bond program (they are the ones doing the work), so the owner is having his other company issue the bond. Even the contract is being reissued between the GC and the new sub. However this new sub won't be doing the actual work & neither sub is on each others insurance policies. Will they take your property by foreclosure or will you be able to keep your property and the lien is there until you're able to pay off the debt. Hello, I have a question regarding which party should hold a bond for excavation activities. I work for a prime utility engineering company and we frequently require the services of a subconsultant to perform small utility excavations (i.e. expose a pipe at one single location). Because the bonding process is new to our company (we only just started including excavations as part of our scope of work), we are trying to determine who should procure the bond - us, as the prime, or our subconsultant, as the excavator.
