Why are both a 3 month notice and a notice of lien rights showing due in the system?

TexasMonthly NoticeNotice of Intent to Lien

We are still currently on a job where we have an unpaid invoice from Oct. My 3 month notice deadline is populating but so is a notice of lien rights. Do I need to send this even if the job is not yet complete?

This is Sandra Moreno, I'm an attorney in Austin. Yes, you need to send a Notice of Intent to File a Lien (Notice) even if your job is not yet complete. I advise my clients to send an invoice every thirty days, regardless of the status of the job, and if the invoice has not been paid within 30 days, send the Notice. The Notice must be sent by certified mail to the owner of the property, the General Contractor, and the person that hired you if it's not the GC.
