Are you referring to releasing a mechanics lien from a property title? If so...
Claimants can release their filed mechanics liens in a similar manner to how they filed them. A mechanics lien release is filed with the county recorder in the county where the work was performed and the lien was filed. Just like with a lien filing, a claimant releasing their lien will be required to pay filing fees for the recordation of the document. Once the lien release is recorded, the mechanics lien will no longer be active and shouldn't affect the property moving forward.
