The company we contracted with doesn’t want to pay because we will be terminating our work for them in the next few days. Is a mechanics lien a way to be paid?

Mechanics lien rights generally arise when construction-related work is done to permanently improve the project property. So, services and maintenance that is required regularly and don't provide a permanent improvement - such as cleaning services - will generally not give rise to mechanics lien rights.
