Good morning, We received your Info from Levelset. We are a tower contractor in San Diego. We took on 8 jobsites with a Turf Vendor, and we have finished most of them. Due to no fault of ours, the vendor has decided to terminate our contract and cease work as of today. They have been paying us our milestones on time, and they say that they will pay us for all work to this point along with change orders. We did not lien any jobs to this point. Please advise My email is dave@osborndc.com 619-857-9222
Hi,
You have 90 days from your last day of work to file a lien. I would give the client 45 days to pay you. If they have not paid by then, write a letter demanding payment and telling them that you will file a lien in 30 days if not paid. After 75 days, file your lien. Don’t wait until the 90th day.
I’m out this week but if you want to talk next week, call me at 415-407-1290.
Thanks,
Jerry
