We are a Grading Contractor in NC. We are working for a General Contractor on a large project. The General Contractor has had their retainage reduced by the Owner of the project but the General Contractor has yet to reduce our retainage. Is there a law where once their retainage has been reduced they have to reduce their sub contractor's retainage too.
