Any contractor, laborer or material supplier that is contracted directly with the owner does not need to provide a Notice of Furnishing (NoF) because a NoF is intended to notify the owner that parties not in direct contractual relationships with the owner are working at the site and may have the right to a construction lien. HOWEVER if a contractor, laborer or material supplier is contracted directly with a residence they should provide a BLANK Residential Notice of Commencement to the owner.
