Oftentimes a strong demand letter from an attorney which threatens a mechanic’s lien can help you get paid without actually filing the lien. You can also file a complaint against the homeowner in Small Claims yourself for up to $5,000 without an attorney. I’m happy to answer any questions you have about this.
