I hired a General Contractor to do work my property, work never got done due to my construction loan never closing . My Loan Officer at the time gave me and my GC the runaround about my closing date. After months of going back forth I finally told the LO I’m moving on. My GC later sent me an excessive invoice of $26k stating that I owe b/c of the money they put out. In the very beginning the GC stated several times that they wasn’t putting out any money for Bondage nor WC insurance until closing. I told them I agree b/c nothing 100%. Now they’re threatening me with putting a mechanical lean on property.
