We have a lien on a project in Arizona. I received a partial payment, and the general contractor has asked that I sign an Unconditional Waiver Upon Progress Payment and reduce the amount of the lien by the amount of the payment. Is it okay to sign the Unconditional Upon Progress Payment? Is it possible to adjust the amount of the lien? We are now outside of the deadline period to file a lien. The original lien was filed within the deadline.
