I received a letter from an attorney stating to lift the lien then client will send a settlement check. What if I lift the lien and then no payment is sent. Can I demand a check be left with client's attorney to be forwarded to me once I show proof that lien has been lifted? I fear I will lift the lien and no payment will be sent. What course can I take to assure I will be paid? Then how do I lift the lien I filed with/through Levelset?
