I'm getting paid hourly on prevailing wage trucking jobs in New Jersey. Is this correct?

Hello.. I work for a trucking company that does work on job sites for a construction company that does all prevailing wage jobs. But my company is not paying me that. He is paying me my regular hourly rate While there are other trucks from other company’s on the same job and they are getting the rate. Please help

Generally, New Jersey truckers hauling materials to and from a prevailing wage jobs should be entitled to prevailing wages. However, I'll admit that I'm not particularly familiar with the ins and outs of New Jersey's prevailing wage requirements. So, it may be worthwhile to clarify when prevailing wages must be paid with a New Jersey construction lawyer. Or, filing a wage & hour claim with the NJ Dept. of Labor and Workforce Development might help to clear up your payment issue. Before opting for claims, though, it might first be worthwhile to ask your employer about the discrepancy and why you haven't been getting prevailing wages. They may have an explanation, or they may be willing to correct the issue.

Per the State of NJ website: https://www.nj.gov/labor/wagehour/regperm/public_contracts_general.html

Direct contracts with municpalities have a minimum threshold of $15,444. For all other public entities, including municipal utility authorities and boards of education, the threshold is $2,000.
