I filed and NOC and some of the information was changed to incorrect information. It has already been filed with the courthouse so I am trying to cancel that one and resubmit a new once since that one cant be changed anymore.
If a Notice of Commencement is filed but has incorrect information on it, that filing could potentially be amended with the county via a second filing (though this isn't explicitly allowed in the GA lien statutes). Or, simply filing a new, corrected Notice of Commencement may be sufficient as well. Granted, it's important to notify others on the job of the new Notice of Commencement and the updated information - especially anyone who's sent a preliminary notice on the job.
As for an incorrect Notice of Commencement remaining in the record - it may also be possible to terminate a prior filed Notice of Commencement, though that's not specifically adressed in the GA lien statutes either.
