how is the calculation of rate revision done??

hello, I would like to ask a question how the calculation will be performed for rate revision as a result of quantity increment of one pay item above the limit set in the contract (the rate revision satisfy the requirements). To make it clear, the increased quantity was rock excavation quantity of roadwork, so the contractor requests an increment of unit price for this pay item stating that cost of explosives are increased.can you help me, please??

That would likely be a good question for your customer or the project manager. Generally, revisions to unit prices must be made in accordance with the contract and based on the specific circumstances relevant to the project. So, I won't be able to provide much insight here. Alternatively, discussing the matter with a Washington DC construction attorney and having them review your agreement and circumstances might be insightful, too.
