I am the Director of Finance who oversees the lien process. We are a roof, siding and gutter company that has been in business for 20+ years.
If you are contemplating filing a petition to establish a lien on real property in Maryland, that would involve hiring an attorney and filing the petition in the Circuit Court in the County where the real property is located. See Levelset Article at https://www.levelset.com/mechanics-lien/maryland-lien-law-faqs/
You would first want to make sure you are meeting certain conditions that would qualify you to obtain a lien and then also make sure that you have provided legally sufficient notice of your incoming lien (this notice must me extremeley specific criteria so you can't just send a one sentence email or anything like that). Your business would need to hire an attorney because a constiuent of the company is not able to represent a company in court unless they are a barred attorney. Feel free to reach out to myself or another attorney to make sure you are handling this properly.
