My client signed a broker fee agreement for a refinance of his multi-lot property. At closing he refused to honor the agreement blaming it on miscommunication. The client is also a real estate broker who had a full disclosure of the transaction from the start. I tried to avoid litigation and offered to reduce the fee by 50%, but he disagreed. I spoke with a real estate attorney and he advised me to file a lien asap. I am looking for a proper way of doing it. Could you help? Thank you
