Does an Arizona Supplier of material need to be registered in California to have lien rights?

CaliforniaRight to Lien

An Arizona company fabricated steel and sold the steel to a California contractor who installed it. Does the Arizona company need to be registered as a foreign entity in California to have lien rights? Or, does this qualify as interstate commerce and is not "doing business" in California?

No. But you may be asked to post a bond once you file suit to enforce the lien, unless you register with the California Secretary of State.  Remember that you only have 90 days to file suit from the day your lien is recorded.  I hope you served a preliminary notice.
