Do I have to sign a lien waiver after I’ve been paid? What will happen if I don’t sign after getting paid ?

Unless you have a contract that provides that you agreed to sign lien waivers, you don't have to do so. Of course, expect them to be upset and likely never use you again. You should speak with them as to the lien waiver (if no contract provision) and then review it with your attorney and then consider signing. What matters are the exact terms of the waiver. If they are fine and you have been paid what you are due then waiving that right may not be an issue.

Often, requirements for lien waivers are found in your contract. Double check your contract to see if there is any requirement for lien waivers. If your contract requires a lien waiver and you do not provide one, you could be in breach of contract.
