Contractor placed lien on my house he didn't complete our oral contract.

IllinoisMechanics Lien

Contractor then sued me and I counter sued him in May of 2019 the judge dismissed his case against and ordered his attorney to remove the lien against my house which he did not do. The Attorney refiled the case against me but the judge dismissed the case and I have never been served on the refiled case. I still have my counter claim against the contractor. How do I get the lien removed even after the judge ordered the attorney to have the lien removed?

If the Order you describe specifically states the lien has been extinguished and should be removed, you can prepare a Release of Lien and record that with the Recorder of Deeds in the County where the residence/property is located. If the Order was not explicit then you may need to retain counsel to file an action to obtain the necessary Order. Since you state you still have a counterclaim pending, I assume you have an attorney and you should review with that individual. They can then prepare either the necessary motion or Release of Lien.
