Can I file a lien on a project that our product was delivered to?

WashingtonBond ClaimsLien Deadlines

I am a material supplier in Washington state. We have customers that has trouble paying and we have been tracking the loads delivered to a state job. Do we still have lien rights if the customer picks the products up, instead of us delivering them? I added it to our portal and it says I have two weeks to make a bond claim. Do I need to file a bond claim if I have not collected by that point? Or can we wait until the project is complete to file a lawsuit or bond claim?

If you did not contract directly with the owner, you need to send a Notice to Owner first. This notice though only reaches back 60 days .

The bond claim is separate. I would never recommend waiting, unless it's public works.

Hi Seth, I sent the notice to the owners the day the project began. It is a public works project, so I wasn't sure of that changes things.
