I performed handyman services via my LLC on a single family residence. I was the only one working under my LLC. Owner hired other people to do other work while I was there, and they ran the others off. The work was directed verbally by the owner, with no formal plans or specifications. There was no formal contract as I was working strictly by the hour. All payments for 5 moths =/- until the last payment, when the owner told me she was not going to pay because of re-work needed and prior over-billing. The owner has stopped responding to all my attempts to communicate. Can and should I file a Lien on the property? If not, what recourse should I seek? Thank you.
