I sent a customer a proposal with a request for deposit if they accepted the job. Customer sent the deposit check so the order for materials was placed (special order). The customer asked to hold the check because they were having second thoughts, so the check was held while the return options of the order were figured out. Customer cancelled the check so the order had to be returned with restock fees. Looking to recoup the costs of the restock fees. Would a lien help in this case?
