Tony M. May, Esq. – in a ruling handed down by the Nevada Court of Appeals – secured the win he obtained in District Court through a motion under NRS 108.2275, where he claimed that the opposing party’s Notice of Lien or Mechanic’s Lien was filed without a valid basis, which motion was granted by the District Court Judge. The Order approved by the Nevada Court of Appeals granted Mr. May’s motion, which dismissed the other party’s improperly recorded mechanic’s lien and protected his clients from being required to go through an entire lawsuit and incurring unnecessary fees and costs. The amount of the lien claim that was dismissed was approximately $171,580.
