Matt is a civil trial lawyer with a diverse litigation practice that includes general casualty defense, premises liability matters, construction defect litigation, general business litigation, and a variety of first party and third party insurance issues.
A native of Dallas, Texas, Matt attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his undergraduate degree. He then went on to Baylor Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor. While at Baylor Law, Matt received several “Dean’s List” recognitions, and he was also an active participant in the mock trial and moot court programs. Matt was a finalist of the Top Gun Mock Trial Competition, and the winner of the Dawson and Sodd Moot Court Competition. Prior to joining the firm, Matt was an Assistant State Attorney in Hillsborough County, Florida, where he tried numerous jury and bench trials involving both felony and misdemeanor offenses. He also previously practiced commercial litigation and general liability defense, handling cases across the state of Florida. This diverse litigation experience gives Matt a unique perspective and allows him to effectively and creatively handle the individual needs of his clients.
