Yes, New Jersey does alow you amend the amount of the claim, especially if you are decreasing the amount of the claim. If you assert a claim that is
improperly high becuase you do not have signed agreements for all amounts of the claim, you could end up paying the other side's attorney's fees if you do
not correct the amount.
