Born and raised in Humboldt, Tennessee, Heather G. Anderson graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her law degree from the University of Memphis School of Law and while there, received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy as well as worked on the Tennessee Journal of Practice & Procedure. She has the rare distinction of being named a Top 40 Under 40 attorney in two cities and regions in the state, the Knoxville Business Journal and the Memphis Business Journal.
She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Knoxville Bar Association, and the East Tennessee Lawyers’ Association of Women. She is a 2007 member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Leadership Law Class. In the community, Heather serves as the President of the Sertoma Center Foundation Board, a non-profit which serves adults with intellectual disabilities. Heather also serves on the Board of Directors for the Public Building Authority of Knox County and Knoxville at the appointment of Mayor Tim Burchett. For the past two years, she has served as the Co-Chair of the Knoxville Bar Association's Solo and Small Firm Section.
Her practice is focused in the areas of civil litigation including real estate matters, construction, family law and employment law for both individuals and management.
