Dawn Harmon is a director and shareholder at Perkins Thompson, having joined the firm in 2004 after serving a clerkship for Chief Justice Leigh Saufley of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
Ms. Harmon’s practice focuses on civil litigation and employment and labor law. Ms. Harmon is an experienced civil litigator, having appeared on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts. Practicing in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, Ms. Harmon maintains a diverse civil litigation practice, with an emphasis on employment law litigation, commercial litigation, products liability, and real property disputes, including boundary disputes and partition actions. She has also appeared before municipal boards representing clients in land use disputes.
Ms. Harmon’s employment law practice includes assisting clients with discrimination, wrongful discharge and wage and hour claims before the Maine Human Rights Commission and representing clients in litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Ms. Harmon regularly advises clients on wage and hour laws, employment contracts, terminations and discrimination and harassment matters. She also regularly conducts training seminars on important employment law matters for her clients.
