Brent Zimmerman is General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Miller Electric Company. Prior to joining Miller Electric Company, Brent gained experience in private practice with law firms ranging in size from a large, full-service international firm to a Jacksonville-based construction litigation boutique. During his years in private practice, Brent devoted the vast majority of his practice to construction law and litigation. Brent represented owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, and sureties in state and federal courts and before arbitration panels. Brent also represented clients in disciplinary actions brought by licensing boards and in bid protests for government procurement contracts. On the transactional side of construction law, Brent drafted, revised, and negotiated construction contracts on behalf of clients ranging in size from small residential projects to large international projects in the hundreds of millions of dollars. Brent is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar’s Board of Legal Specialization and Education, which signifies his demonstrated expertise in this practice area.
