The Mineral County Recorder doesn’t publicly disclose information regarding recording backlogs.

If the project is located in Mineral County, then you need to file your mechanics lien in Mineral County.

The recording requirements at the Mineral County Recorder’s Office follow the Nevada State recording requirements:

1. Documents to be recorded must be printed on 8.5 x 11 inch paper.
2. The first page must have a 3×3 inch square in the top right hand corner with a 1 inch margin on both sides and bottom.
3. All pages following the first page must have a 1 inch margin on the top, both sides, and bottom.
4. Pages must not be bound at the top, sides, or bottom.
5. Pages may not be double-sided.

1. Your basic information (name and address) as well as the basic information of the hiring party, the property owner, and your attorney if you have one.
2. The lien amount.
3. A statement for the contract’s terms and the relevant payment information for the construction project.

If you furnished a minimum of $500 in labor and materials for the construction project, you most likely have the right to file a mechanics lien in Nevada. However, the two parties that may not be able to file a lien claim are material suppliers and unlicensed contractors.

The usual deadline to file a mechanics lien in Nevada is 90 days after last performance of work or the official end of the project.
